La Vista’s Salute to Summer is a fun-filled festival that offers a variety of activities for people of all ages and interests, and it’s a great way to kick off the summer season in La Vista. Shuttle buses are also available from Brentwood Square parking lot, and participants are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs. Parking for the event is available on Park View Boulevard, Harrison Street Baptist Church, Bethany Funeral Home and vacant lot to the east, and ACCESSBank. There are also various adventure and challenge zones, including inflatables, a climbing wall, laser tag, bungee basketball, human hamster balls, paddle smash, and disc golf. The festival’s highlight is the fireworks and drone show, which begins at 9:30 pm. Throughout the day, there are several musical performances on the main stage, including Guitars 4 Vets – Omaha, School of Rock, Lloyd McCarter & The Honky Tonk Revival, Matt Whipkey, Rhythm Collective, and others. Singing and dancing with Mister K is available, too. Additionally, there are several shows, including two wildlife encounters show, a magic show, and a talent show.
